It was delightful!
On Sundays the gym doesn’t open until 1:00 P.M. I decided to use the extra time wisely and get my food prep over with early! I baked a ton of Apple Cinnamon Protein Muffins and Carrot Cake Protein Muffins, prepped some chicken, pork tenderloin, and called it a day morning!
This time I overfilled the muffin tins. I wanted BIG muffins!
I scarfed down one of each before hitting the gym.
Seth and I hit up chest and shoulders HEAVY! It wasn’t my strongest workout, but it felt good to be able to lift heavy again! I was a happy camper!
When we got home, we both enjoyed some a post-workout POM shake!
The super friendly and enthusiastic Ryan over at POM contacted me about a review. I have ALWAYS wanted to try POM, so I was more than happy to!
Naturally, upon arrival, Seth and I immediately had to taste test! We both agreed that this is THE best tasting juice EVER! It tastes like… pomegranates! DUH! Minus all of the messy hard work! I LOVE pomegranates, but I rarely get them because I don’t like having to clean up afterwards.
POM’s clinical research shows that it improves cardiovascular health by decreasing arterial plaque up to 30% in elderly patients (WOW!), improving blood flow, and lowering LDL oxidation! Good stuff! It also lowered the risk of recurrence and spreading in men with recurrent prostate cancer!!
My favorite nutritional perk… POM is a superior source of antioxidants, more potent than red wine, grape juice, blueberry juice, cranberry juice, green tea, vitamin C and Vitamin E!
POM gets an A+ in my book, and I plan on incorporating it in my post-workout shakes pretty regularly! It tastes beyond fabulous mixed with BSN Lean Dessert in Whipped Vanilla. POM is great by itself, and Seth even tried it tainted with vodka! He gave that two thumbs up!
Have you tried POM? What did you think of it?
