I am a newly nationally qualified NPC figure competitor with a passion for tasty food.  I started competing in 2009.  It was a rocky start, but I fell in love with the sport at the very beginning of my journey.  I love the challenges, the planning, being forced to come up with healthy recipes that my non-dieting husband can enjoy… I love pushing my physical and mental limits.  I love seeing and feeling the changes through show prep, and most of all, I love the gratification and feeling of accomplishment  once you set foot on stage — not to mention the adrenaline rush!  Who am I kidding?! I don’t remember much about being on stage, except thinking, “Smile, smile, smile.  Don’t fall, don’t fall, don’t fall.”
