Yowzers! I tweaked a muscle in my neck… actually my trap, doing shrugs. I DON’T DO SHRUGS! I just thought it would be fun, and Seth wanted me to join him. Awesomenot. I never do shrugs, because my traps like to grow… EASY! I don’t need that!
Anyways…
I woke up early to this:
UGH!
Plopped a venison neck roast (sounds gross, right?! LOL!) in the crockpot with half a packet of onion soup mix and a can of fire roasted tomatoes (love these!)… Dinner.
I had it on high until I came home during my lunch hour… then I moved it to low.
Meal 1 was ground turkey, some of it was left over taco meat.
Hiding underneath (do you see the veggies peaking?) are some roasted veggies – asparagus stir-fry! YUM! I topped it with some coconut oil. It was quite tasty! I wish I had more turkey!!
And, I forgot to refill my work container of coconut oil, so Meal 2 was uneventful, but it was a pleasant change that I plan on repeating soon. A simple protein shake, just threw in a shaker!… and fish oil… which was NOT added to the container! I LOVE this almond milk! So creamy and thick!
Could my meals GET any more boring? (Channeling Chandler from Friends… did you notice the inflection?
) Meal 3 was cauliflower and olive oil I packed the night before and some tuna. Looking back, I am surprised how much I enjoyed my meals today. They seem boring!
My next boring meal was protein powder, canned pumpkin, and oats! I stirred the pumpkin and protein powder together first until it was clump-free. Then, I simply stirred in the oats and ate! YUM! This will be another repeat!
Seth and I hit the gym after work for a shoulder workout. Eh. I have had better. I wanted to do push presses, but Seth was already beat from hitting the gym earlier today – he had a snow day! Lucky ass. I hit some abs after and headed to the indoor track for my two mile run. I got bored. It was crowded. Apparently I do not like running for more than ten minutes. After about lap 10 (14 laps = 1 mile), I started to get warm and speed up, but I still wasn’t enjoying myself. Gah. I stopped after a mile and headed downstairs to finish up with 15 minutes on the bike. That was quite enjoyable! So, my mile “time” was 9:37… and I walked three laps for various reasons… I always walk the first lap… midway my shoe untied and it took a while for me to get out of “traffic” to pick up the speed… and I don’t remember why I walked another lap. I was probably just being lazy.
I DO THAT! Anyways, I may start doing a jog + bike cardio session instead! I definitely enjoyed it more.
I got home, dinner was ready, so I toasted a hot dog bun that was on its last leg, topped it with the roast, and piled some roasted asparagus stir-fry on my plate. IT WAS YUMMALICIOUS! I had light airy cookies for dessert. They definitely aren’t light in the calorie department! LOL!
Seth surprised me with a couple bottles of cheap wine! Three bucks at CVS right now! They are usually $3.33, and ya know what? It’s pretty darn tasty! Time to curl up on the dueling recliners with a glass of pinot and a hilariously ugly Cabela’s Snuggie… I can’t lie. I love the damn thing. It’s warm. Time to watch DVR’d Desperate Housewives and Sing Off. (Do you see Shawn Stockman on the TV in the background of the pic showing off my Snuggie? Love him! He is also my boyfriend. I should keep a running list of them all.
)
CHEERS!

I’m jealous — I want snow…BAD!!!!! (so does Hailey-Bear..which, btw, says “Hi Aunt Genie” )
Love, Love, Love that Almond Milk. I get one every week for like the last six months!!!! =-D
Wish CVS around here would sell wine. Would make my life so much easier!!!
Forgive me if I missed it somewhere, no time to catch up, are we training ourselves right now? or are you still with a coach? You’re doing pretty good the last three weeks. Im proud of you!
)
yayaya!! You’re here a lot now so I will be sure to check daily again. I miss you oodles!!!
oh and im secretly hoping Santa Tom gives me a snuggie this year..i’ve heard they are super comfy (plus, way bigger than my throw)
Hi Hailey-Bear, my beautiful girl!!! I miss you, Kathie!!
I am training myself right now. I have my eye out and am thinking of possible options in the future, but I would love to do it on my own! it will depend on if I can keep an objective view on myself.
Please take our snow, or come visit and play in ours.
I have an adorable kiddie house with electricity in the backyard! lol
I will be sure to tell her! =)
Kiddie House? With Electric huh? Oh how Hailey would ADORE that!!! A visit soon is a must!! We need to see you!! xoxo
Venison neck?! I’ll take your word for that one. You are brave!! LOL! I love almond milk! I like the unsweetened vanilla kind. 45 calories in one cup and it’s creamier than whole milk. Shoulder workouts are my fav. I hate running so I have to do sprint intervals if I set foot on a dreadmill. Every minute changes -heehee.
xo
Mindy
I used to love intervals! I usually don’t do too much cardio, especially higher intensity… My legs like to stay leaner than the rest of me, and when I diet, they tend to turn into sticks! HIIT is so much fun, though!
Yes, venison neck! My dad gave me half a deer, and that was part of it. It was quite tasty!
